BRIDGEPORT?- The Elkins High School boys soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision at the hands of Bridgeport Thursday night in Big 10 Conference action at Wayne Jamison Field.
Joey Reese and Brandon Hanlin had goals for the Indians, who improved to 2-1-0 with the victory.
"This was a game of two good defensive teams," Elkins coach Andy Montgomery said. "Bridgeport out-muscled us and took advantage of our mistakes. We watched the ball a few times and that made them more dangerous.
"We had flashes of decent play, but their defense was all over the field and turned the tide of this game. We couldn't hold possession long enough to get good looks at the goal."
Bridgeport outshot Elkins 3-1 in the contest and held a 2-0 advantage in corner kicks. Tyler Gray had one save in net for the Tigers.
Elkins will travel to George Washington on Saturday for a non-conference contest.
