Shannon Rachell McGee and Walter David Everson were married May 12, 2012.
Gregory Phillips of Belington officiated the ceremony in the Club Room at the Days Inn & Suites in Elkins.
The bride is the daughter of Debra McGee Phillips and husband of Belington and Al Lawson Jr. and wife of Independence, Mo. The bride is currently enrolled online at Rasmussen College and is a stay-at-home mom.

The bridegroom is the son of Walter R. Everson and wife of Rainelle and Deirdre McKinnie and companion of Schuyler, Va. The bridegroom is currently employed with RGIS Inc.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore an imported, specially designed, strapless white dress with accents of silver. The train was blue with designs. The bouquet was made of blue and white hydrangeas and gardenias with ivy.
The matron of honor was sister of the bride, Tiffany Everson of Belington. Bridesmaids were the bride's best friend, Misty Poling of Belington; and cousin, Kristina Huffman of Cameron, Mo. The matron of honor and bridesmaids all wore floor-length, navy blue gowns with accents of silver. Flower bouquets consisted of blue and white hydrangeas and gardenias.
Flower girls were Emily Everson of Belington and Madison Price of Fredericksburg, Va. Flower girls wore knee-length, white satin ballerina dresses with a white rose on the shoulder of the dress.
The best man was the father of the groom. Groomsmen were the groom's brother, Anthony Everson of Belington, and best friend, Doyle Johnson of Elkins. Ushers were brothers of the groom, William Stark of Schuyler, Va., and Travis Everson of Rainelle. Ring bearers were Alijah and Walter Everson, children of the bride and groom.
The bridegroom, best man, groomsmen and ring bearers wore black suits with blue shirts and silver ties. Boutonnieres were blue and white hydrangeas.
The reception was in the Courtyard Room at the Days Inn & Suites of Elkins after the ceremony, with a live band performance by Phil Wiseman and band. Decorations consisted of the wall murals in the Courtyard Room, blue and silver accents, blue and silver tablecloths and personalized candle holders with tea light candles. A wide variety of blue and white flowers, including hydrangeas, also complemented the decor.
A four-tier square cake, with the second layer a hexagon shape, was made and donated by bridegroom's aunt, Kimberly McKinnie of Smithfield, N.C. The cake was decorated with blue and white gum-paste flowers with a two-heart silver topper. Each layer of the cake was a different flavor with a butter cream icing. The side of the top of the cake had an "E" decorated in blue icing.
The couple currently resides in Rainelle.
