Refuge to present documentary

Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge will present a free screening of "Green Fire," the first full-length documentary film made about legendary conservationist Aldo Leopold.

The film will be shown at 7 p.m. Sept. 15 at Canaan Valley Institute, 494 Riverstone Road near Davis. "Green Fire" shares highlights from Leopold's extraordinary career, explaining how Leopold shaped conservation and the modern environmental movement.

Canaan Valley NWR, the Friends of the 500th and Canaan Valley Institute are co-hosting this free screening for the community. More information is available by calling 304-866-3858.
