Juanita Cutright Weese, 86, a resident of Elkins, passed away Friday morning, Sept. 7, 2012, in Hospice Care Regional In-Patient Center.
She was born Nov. 15, 1925, at Elkins, a daughter of the late Juard and Maude Alice Bowyer Cutright.
On June 1, 1946, in Elkins, she was married to Harry Hall Weese, who survives in Elkins.
Also surviving are two sons, Harry Wesley Weese of Elkins and Allan Lee Weese of Chesterfield, Va. Three brothers, "Buck" Cutright and Luther Cutright, both of Elkins and Paul Cutright of Bradford, Pa.; two granddaughters, Karen Weese and Diana Grubb and husband, Stan; and four great-grandchildren, Anna, Kara, Juliette and Matthew Grubb also survive.
Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Roselene Arbogast and Ellen Funnel; and a great-grandson, Daniel.
Mrs. Weese was a graduate of Elkins High School with the class of 1943. She was employed in an ammunition plant during World War II, attended Northern Virginia Community College and was a homemaker and a representative for Avon Corp. for many years. She was active in PTA and a homeroom mother for her sons in their younger years. She enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting, quilting and cross word puzzles and loved time spent with her granddaughters.
