Donna Pritt, owner of Back In Tyme, asked members of the Beverly Town Council to approve a Class B Wine for her establishment during a regular council meeting Monday night.

"This license, if approved, allows us to sell wine by the bottle and offers after-hour wine tasting," Pritt said. "I also need a completed zoning form to send in with the license."

Back In Tyme, located on Main Street in the former Soldier Skillet, will sell baked goods, gift baskets, sandwiches and soups.

Council members agreed to allow her to serve wine.

In other business, Beverly Town Council took the following action:

Voted to approve business licenses for Dollar Store and More, Files Creek Laundromat and Holland Investment Group LLC.

Voted to have trick-or-treat on the same night and time set by Elkins.

Voted to give the Beverly Volunteer Fire Company $100 for its help during Halloween.

Voted to close the Beverly Office at noon Friday during the Mountain State Forest Festival.

The next Beverly Town Council meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. Oct. 8 at Beverly City Hall.
