The former Elkins Middle School teacher accused of having a sexual affair with her former student was found not guilty Thursday in Randolph County Circuit Court.
After an hour of deliberation, jurors acquitted Autumn Faulker, 29, of Beverly, on all six felony counts.
Faulkner had been charged with three felony counts of third-degree sexual assault and three felony counts of sexual abuse by a custodian or person of trust to a child. She was arrested on March 25, 2009, by Sgt. A.S. Loudin with the West Virginia State Police for allegedly having sexual relations with her former student on three separate occasions from December 2008 through February 2009.
Faulkner was a seventh-grade social studies teacher prior to her arrest in 2009.
