Falon A. Scott, 38, raised in Philippi, and a resident of Dallas, Ga., passed away Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, after an extended illness.
He was born July 23, 1974, to his loving parents, Dan and Marie Scott.
Falon enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking and going to the ocean. He was a loyal fan of West Virginia University Mountaineers football. He was a skilled framer and detail finisher by trade.
He is survived by his parents; his daughter, Ambria Scott, and her mother Stacy, of Charleston; his brother, Dane Scott (Gwen); and three nephews, Samuel, Jaydon and Isaiah of Rancho Cordova, Calif.; longtime best friend, Terry Wilfong; his cousin, Seth Wamsley, who was like a brother; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him very much.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Mary "Sally" Scott and Atha and Pearl Burner.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a hospice of the donor's choice or to his parents.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m. at Union Church of Christ in Philippi with the Rev. Mike Phillips officiating. A dinner for all family and friends will follow the service at the Union Community Building.
