Mary Louise Swisher King, 90, a resident of the Limestone community, St. George, departed this life Thursday afternoon, Sept. 13, 2012, in Franklin Square Medical Center at Baltimore, Md.
She was born Tuesday, July 18, 1922, at Fairmont, a daughter of the late Forrest Wesley and Mary Louise Jamison Swisher.
On Jan. 14, 1950, at Red House, Md., she was married to John Thomas King, who preceded her in death Aug. 20, 2011. They had celebrated 61 years of marriage.
Surviving are one daughter, Judith A. Horst and husband, Pete, of Baltimore, Md.; one brother, Jimmy Swisher of Fairmont; one sister, Pauline Bellish of Fairmont; one granddaughter, Nicole Jade Wiherle and husband, Allan, of Baltimore, Md.; and one great-granddaughter, Rylee Elizabeth Wiherle of Baltimore, Md.
Preceding her in death were one daughter, Sandra Kay King on May 2, 2011; and several brothers and sisters.
Mary attended the schools of Fairmont, Marion County, was a homemaker, a member of Highland Chapter 33, Order of the Eastern Star at Baltimore, Md., a member of Macedonia Methodist Church at St. George and enjoyed playing bingo.
The family will receive friends at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor Monday, Sept. 17, at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Pat Cassidy will officiate, and interment will follow in Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman.
