Bucs earn first victory; PC wins

TENNERTON?- Patrick Crim threw for 160 yards and three touchdowns to lead Buckhannon-Upshur to a 40-20 win over North Marion Friday night.

The Bucs (1-3) jumped out to a 7-0 lead when Crim completed a 16-yard touchdown pass to Coalton Payne with 8:04 left in the opening quarter.

The Huskies (0-4) tied the contest with 1:14 left in the first quarter when John Rogers plunged in for a 1-yard score.

After B-U's Austin Snyder returned the ensuing kickoff 59 yards, Seth Cutright took the first play from scrimmage 25 yards to paydirt to give the Bucs a 13-7 lead.

Buckhannon-Upshur capped off the scoring in the first quarter and pushed the deficit to 20-7 when Crim completed a 94-yard touchdown pass to Seth Cutright.

The Huskies cut into the lead early in the second quarter when Andrew Harker pulled in a 50-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Levi Cyphers to make it 20-14.

Both teams traded scores in the final three minutes of the second quarter and the Bucs took a 28-20 advantage into the half.

Crim threw his third touchdown pass of the game to open the scoring in the second half when he connected with Snyder for a 7-yard score to make it 34-20.

B-U pushed its lead to 40-20 when Aaron Anderson intercepted a pass and raced in for a 38-yard touchdown.

Cutright finished the contest with 101 yards rushing on 19 carries for the Bucs. Payne added 66 yards on the ground.

Cyphers completed 22 of 38 passes for 275 yards for the Huskies.

B-U will entertain Webster County next Friday.

Pendleton County 21,

Fishburn Military 0

FRANKLIN?- Logan Raines had 224 yards rushing and three scores to lead Pendleton County to a 21-0 win over Fishburn Military Friday in non-conference action.

Daniel Hevener led the Wildcats' defense with nine tackles, including a sack.

Pendleton County (3-1) will travel to Meadow Bridge next Friday for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
