Fleming Memorial Presbyterian Church is planning to celebrate its centennial anniversary. The church located at 1493 Locust Ave. in Fairmont will be 100 years old on Oct. 3.
Plans are being made to celebrate this special occasion during the entire month of October, beginning with a dinner and service on the evening of Oct. 3 and continuing the celebration each Sunday during the month. Those planning to attend the dinner should RSVP by Sept. 24.
On Oct. 7 after the morning worship service there will be an old fashioned corn roast and picnic on the church grounds.
The church leaders are looking for past members and clergy and their families to come back and join in the celebration. If you or someone you know has ever been a part of the Fleming "family" you are invited back to celebrate the rich heritage that the church has created.
The congregation is asking anyone that has been impacted in any way to come back and help celebrate. For more information you may call the church at 304-366-3848.
