PBHS graduate is festival royalty

Whitney Dawn Nestor of Moatsville has been chosen as a princess in the 76th Mountain State Forest Festival by Director General Mike Karlen.

Nestor is the daughter of Greg and Carolyn Nestor of Moatsville. She is the granddaughter of Hubert Nestor and the late Mae Nestor and the late Clyde and Estel Davis, all of Moatsville.

A 2007 graduate of Philip Barbour High School, Nestor was an honor student and member of the National Honor Society. She was named Who's Who Among American Athletes, was a member of the Soccer Big 10 - 1st Team, All-State 2nd Team and Basketball Big 10 2nd Team and was a four-year letterman in both soccer and basketball.

She presently attends West Virginia University School of Dentistry pursuing a degree in dental hygiene.

She is the social chair holder for the WVU SADHA and was a PROMISE scholarship recipient. She enjoys boating and athletics, and is a sport enthusiast. She is a member of the Nestorville United Methodist Church and especially enjoys time with family and friends.

Nestor will join other princesses Friday on coronation hill at Davis & Elkins College, along with other members of the royal court of the Mountain State Forest Festival. More information is available at
