PurpleLight National Vigil for Hope took place all across the nation Sunday with 60 ceremonies in nearly every state. Kappa Xi Omega, a service fraternity at Alderson-Broaddus College, had a few volunteers to came out to help with the program. Guests gathered under the pavillion next to the Barbour County Courthouse where they listened to Annette Fetty-Santilli, community representative of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, raise awareness about the cancer and recognize survivors.
