WVWC student named princess

Director General Mike Karlen has chosen Catherine Grace Riggleman as a princess in the 76th Mountain State Forest Festival.

Riggleman is the daughter of Philip D. and Jennifer S. Riggleman of Beverly. She is the granddaughter of Newton and the late Luella Riggleman of Beverly; Ted and Susan Rogers of Hinton; and Don and Dusti Woodward of Covington, Va. She is the great-granddaughter of Mary Margaret Morrison of Elkins and Betty Hiner of Waynesboro, Va.

Riggleman has three brothers, Isaac, Caleb and Adam; and one sister, Susan.

She graduated from Elkins High School with the class of 2012. She was a member of the EHS soccer and basketball teams and received an honorable mention for All-State soccer and basketball.

She currently attends West Virginia Wesleyan and is majoring in nursing. She plans to attend graduate school.

Riggleman is a member of West Virginia Wesleyan Fellowship of Christian Students, Young Life and the women's soccer team. She is an active member of the Alliance Community Fellowship Church.

Riggleman and other princesses are set to take part in coronation ceremonies Friday at Davis & Elkins College.
