Daniel Hughes, director of choral activities and associate professor of music, will be joined for this performance by several other faculty members, including Dr. Marguerite Bostonia, Marie Mallory, Dr. James Moore and Linda Wolfersheim from the Department of Music, as well as Katherine Smart Hughes and Thomas Schoffler from the Department of Theatre & Dance.
The recital will feature works ranging from serious to hilarious by composers including J.S. Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, Leonard Bernstein, Dominick Argento, Jason Robert Brown and David Shire.
"I'm very excited about this year's Evening of Music program," said Dr. James Moore, coordinator of the Department of Music. "We have an amazing faculty in Wesleyan's Music Department, and these folks are truly world-class performers and teachers. This year's program highlights the strength of our vocal and keyboard areas in particular, two facets of our music offerings that have always been held in high regard throughout the region."
