The Randolph County Sheriff's Department is investigating an attempted armed robbery outside the Elkins KFC restaurant.
Sheriff Jack Roy said deputies responded to an attempted armed robbery in the parking lot at about 11 p.m. Saturday. He said the alleged victim is an employee of the business.
Roy said the investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information should contact the Sheriff's Department at 304-636-2111.
