Katie Dickey of Buckhannon demonstrated her award-winning skills by earning a gold ribbon at the 2012 State 4-H Day competition.
She competed in the junior division of the Small Animal 4-H Visual Presentation Contest at West Virginia University. Her presentation, "The Care and Grooming of Angora Rabbits," took first place in the state competition.
Katie is the daughter of Carol and Everly Spurrier of Buckhannon and Joe Dickey of Buckhannon. Katie's hat was made from the wool of Bunny Foo by local spinner Angie Harlow.
