TENNERTON?- Buckhannon-Upshur continued to roll through its successful volleyball season Thursday night, producing another Big 10 Conference victory over Lincoln.
"Once again we came out with a win, but still did not play to our full potential," Buckhannon-Upshur coach Sheena Westfall said. "If we want to be sectional or regional champions, we have to stop giving up so many points. Lincoln gained many of their points tonight off our errors and that's unacceptable, especially at this point in the season."
Lincoln played the Lady Bucs very tough in the first set before B-U prevailed late, 25-19. Buckhannon-Upshur won the second game 25-12 and closed out the match with a 25-11 win in the third set.
Leah Blend continued her stellar play at the net, recording a match-high 13 kills. She was complemented by Sarah Gillsepie and MacKenzie Leigh with six apiece. Sarah Ling led with eight digs, while Courtney Reed tallied seven.
Lindsey Wagoner had a solid night setting with 25 assists, while Reed led with eight service aces.
"We did step up in our serving tonight, with a variety of girls providing aces," Westfall said.
Buckhannon-Upshur improves to 21-4-2 with the victory and will travel to Elkins on Tuesday.
