Editor:
It is reassuring from Senator Manchin to read in Joan Ashley's Oct. 6 report about phasing out the National Information Operations Command in Sugar Grove that "no final decisions have been made" by Washington. As he says, the facility is "essential" to our military and national security.
Sen. Manchin serves on the Armed Services Committee and recently helped save hundreds of Jackson County jobs where parts are supplied to the F-35 jet fighter, an aircraft the Navy is counting on for the future.
The Inter-Mountain quoted Franklin business leader Rebecca Lough about the devastating impact of cuts to Sugar Grove. Our community, local leaders and congressional delegation must unite to save Sugar Grove.
