GREENSBURG, Pa. - West Virginia Wesleyan's volleyball team entered Tuesday night's road tilt at Seton Hill shorthanded and came out on the short end of a three-set loss.
Seton Hill dominated the first set 25-14, before reeling off a 25-17 win in the second game. The hosts closed out the match with a 25-20 win in the third set.
The loss drops the Lady Bobcats, who were playing without injured libero Renata Comparini, to eighth place in the conference standings.
Erin Bond led the Wesleyan offense with 13 kills. Korin Wengryn and Sarah Crowder followed with five kills each, while Meaghan Malloy had 12 digs. Setter Casey Pattyn contributed 23 assists.
Wesleyan (9-15, 5-4 WVIAC) remains on the road Wednesday night, traveling to 10th-place West Virginia State College in a game that is critical in the standings for both teams.

CALIFORNIA, Pa. - California defeated Alderson-Broaddus 3-0 Tuesday in non-conference volleyball action.
The Lady Vulcans won the match, 25-12, 25-20 and 25-20.
Caitlin Cain had seven kills and 12 digs to lead the Lady Battlers.
Kayla Peterson added 16 assists and 10 digs for Alderson-Broaddus (13-14).
Molly Delaney chipped in with 13 kills for the Lady Battlers.
Alderson-Broaddus will entertain Davis & Elkins for West Virginia Conference matchup today at 6 p.m.

PHILIPPI - Alderson-Broaddus defeated West Liberty 3-1 Tuesday in West Virginia Conference action.
Olivia Augustine, Nicole Lehman and Amber King all had goals for the Lady Battlers (12-4-1).
Taylor Bryant, Valerie Barlow and Harley Morrison tallied assists for Alderson-Broaddus.
The Lady Battlers outshot West Liberty 13-2 in the contest and held a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Alderson-Broaddus will host Urbania University on Thursday.
