Area students can find out what opportunities await at West Virginia Wesleyan College during Fall Visit Days scheduled for Saturday, as well as Nov. 10 and Dec. 1. The days are a perfect time for high school juniors and seniors to explore the campus and hear from Wesleyan students, faculty and staff.
Each Visitation Day begins with check-in at 9:15 a.m. At 10 a.m., Office of Admission staff will present "Wesleyan 101," an overview of the college, the application process and financial aid. Afterward, a student panel will share campus experiences with attendees. There will also be an opportunity to attend the Academic Department Fair, a time to meet Wesleyan's faculty and learn more about the various majors and academic departments.
"Like any visit opportunity, it's best for juniors and seniors to see their choices up-close to get a feel for the personality of the school and its people," said John Waltz, director of admission. "Visitors to Wesleyan always comment on the genuine nature of our faculty and staff members. We are proud of this, as it is of the many aspects that draw students to the college. Fall Visit days are an ideal time to experience it first-hand."
Visitors will also tour Wesleyan's campus and eat lunch in the French A. See Dining Center. Future Wesleyan students can browse the campus bookstore from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
