Philippi Public Library’s 2012 Run For It team cheers the local library’s efforts to open reading to children and adults in the Philippi area during the team introductions at the Tucker Community Foundation’s annual Run For It in Davis. The fundraiser is a major source of special funding for the Philippi Public Library. This year’s efforts raised $5,195.70. Of that total, $1,000 came from an award the day of the race and the remaining came from fundraisers throughout the year and registration/sponsorship for the race. Pictured is half of the team that ran or walked the streets of Davis during the late September Leaf Peepers Festival.
