Viola Fisher

Viola G. Fisher, 82, of Buckhannon, passed away Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

She was born Jan. 12, 1930, at Sutton, a daughter of the late Elijah F. and Matilda A. Lake Gibson.

She was united in marriage Jan. 6, 1948, to Roy Glen Fisher, who preceded her in death June 4, 2003.

Also preceding her in death were one brother and seven sisters.

Viola is survived by her daughter, Patricia A. Lesondak and husband, Lawrence, of Buckhannon; her son, Chaplain Joseph G. Fisher and wife, Laura, of Phoenix, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Michael Lesondak and wife, Andrea, and Michelle Rice and husband, Jonathan; two great-grandchildren, Ethan Rice and Abigail Rice; sister, Sylvia Lee of Ohio; and brother, Bruce Gibson of Kesling Mill.

Mrs. Fisher was a homemaker and a member of Full Gospel Church of Buckhannon.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at Tomblyn Whitescarver Funeral Chapel in Buckhannon, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in Heavner Cemetery.
