Janet Lee Lewis, 83, of Buckhannon, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011, in Holbrook's Nursing Home in Buckhannon.
She was born Sept. 3, 1928, at Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Tim and Annie Bartlett Lewis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Cline Lewis; and one nephew, Rodney Lewis.
She is survived by one nephew, Timothy Lewis of Fort Levinsworth, Kan.
Ms. Lewis was a social worker in Newark, N.J. She served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a Methodist by faith.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, in the Veterans Chapel with the Rev. Jackie Dorsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Baptist Cemetery in Buckhannon.
