Ruth Ann Sellards, 73, of Route 4, Philippi, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 6, 2012, in Hubbard House Hospice Center, Charleston, following an extended illness.
She was born Oct. 6, 1939, at Clarksburg, a daughter of the late Clyde McCoy and the late Helen (Wilson) Rome.
On Dec. 4, 1977, she was married to Curtis E. Sellards, who preceded her in death May 11, 2000.
Surviving are one son, Kenny Campbell and wife, Martha Ellen, of Madison; three granddaughters, Karrie Dawn Barker and husband, David, Krystal Gail Stollings and husband, Matt, and Kandi Jo Plymale and husband, Bill; three great-grandchildren, Austin Campbell, Abigail Stollings and Ethan Barker; three stepchildren, Dennis Sellards, Darlene Earp and Laura Howle; and one sister, Frances Cassandra of Marietta, Ohio.
Mrs. Sellards was a graduate of Clarksburg Beauty Academy and was a licensed beautician and a homemaker. She was a member of Olive Baptist Church at Julian.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, from Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 S. Main St. in Philippi. Pastor Ray Williams will officiate, and interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., the funeral hour, Friday.
