Kathleen Horner

Mrs. Kathleen Rebekah Rollyson Horner, 78, a resident of Brown Avenue in Belington, departed this life Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at her home. She had been in declining health for quite some time.

She was born April 17, 1934, at Weston, a daughter of the late Russell and Millie Marie (Watson) Rollyson.

She was united in marriage, Aug. 1, 1964, to Robert Earnest Horner Sr., who survives.

She is survived by five children, Mike Thompson of Belington, Timothy Thompson of North Carolina, Charles "Bill" Thompson of Arizona, Robert "Bobby" Horner Jr. of Belington and Barbie Horner of Belington. She also is survived by one brother, Dale Robinson of Florida. Several grandchildren, Rebekah Horner, Robert Horner III, Daniel Horner, Holly Thompson, W.C. Thompson, Charles Thompson, Jason Thompson, Jessica Thompson, Daniella Thompson, Ashley Johnson, Timothy Thompson, Jenny Thompson, Chris Thompson and Angie Thompson; and two great-grandchildren, Syrena Horner and Greysen Mayle also survive.

She was preceded in death by one son, Roger Thompson; and several siblings, Wanda Deluca, Bob, Buster, Warren, Gene and William Rollyson.

Mrs. Horner graduated from Weston High School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, canning and sewing. Before becoming ill, she attended Belington Church of the Nazarene.

Friends will be received at Talbott Funeral Home in Belington Saturday, Nov. 17, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jimmie E. Tallman officiating. Interment will follow in Crawford Cemetery near Weston.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Talbott Funeral Home, P.O. Box 879, Belington, WV 26250 to help with final expenses.
