The GFWC Woman’s Club of Elkins officers and program and committee chair women met recently to prepare for the new club year. The club was founded in 1911 and will celebrate its 100th year of federation in 2013. As one of the largest service organizations in the world, the club contributes to a variety of causes, such as The Davis House, Operation Christmas Child, Heifer International, the YMCA, the Old Brick Playhouse Apprentice Program, local and state scholarships and many more. Pictured are newly elected officers, from left, First Vice President Betty Haynes, President-elect Joan Tacy, President Cindy Stemple, Secretary Peggy Knutti, Second Vice President Diana Kerr and Treasurer Donna Seibert.
