Internationally known recording artist and producer Max-A-Million will bring his talent to the stage of the Ice House at Davis & Elkins College on Nov. 30 for a performance featuring reggae, hip hop, electronica and dance. Doors open at 10 p.m., and the show begins at 11 p.m.
Admission is free for all D&E students, and $10 at the door for others. Proceeds will benefit the D&E Fine & Performing Arts Department dance program.
Blending Caribbean spice with R&B, hip-hop and a pinch of pop, Max-a-Million has consistently charted top 40 hits in Billboard Magazine and has reached gold and platinum status in 62 countries. He has headlined and performed with other top recording artists such as Backstreet Boys, Monica, Brandy, Coolio, Queen Latifah, Jodeci, Snoop and the Dog Pound, Biggie Smalls, Mary J. Blige and Deborah Cox. His release with Kanye West and Malik Yusef is titled "Chicago."
Max-A-Million will perform his unique blend of Caribbean R&B and hip-hop Nov. 30 at the Ice House at Davis &?Elkins College.
An accomplished vocalist, songwriter, rapper, recording artist and producer, Max-A-Million is currently producing music for the Legendary Drifters.
He was honored with two top awards and several nominations in the 16th, 17th and 18th annual Chicago Music Awards for "Pop Recording Artist of the Year" and "Best Reggae Album/CD of the Year."
He also has received nominations in the 16th annual Reggae and World Music Awards in "Best Crossover Song" for his platinum version of Marvin Gaye's classic hit "Sexual Healing," as well as for "Best Music Video" for "Take your Time," and "Best New Entertainer" and "Songwriter of the Year."
