The Buckhannon Choral Society will present "The Wonder of Christmas" at 7 p.m. Saturday in Wesley Chapel on the campus of West Virginia Wesleyan College.
The cost of the concert is $8 for seniors/students and $10 for adults.
The program will open with "Bell Carol" written by William Mathias and will be followed by two pieces accompanied by piano and cello, "The Hands That First Held Mary's Child" by Dan Forrest and "Carol of the Magi" by John Rutter.

The choir will then be joined by a large children's choir and orchestra to accompany the presentation of "The Wonder of Christmas" written by David Hamilton. This wonderful cantata includes scripture-based narration and familiar Christmas melodies.
This concert of Buckhannon Choral Society will feature more than 50 adult singers and a large children's choir consisting of singers from the Buckhannon Academy Elementary School Chorus and the Upshur County Concert Ensemble of the Chanticleer Children's Chorus of West Virginia.
The 25-piece orchestra will feature professional musicians coming from all parts of the state to join the choir.
The choir is accompanied by pianist Jeanne DeFoe and directed by Stephen Benson.
The Buckhannon Choral Society is a nonprofit corporation organized for the purpose of providing public performances of choral music in the Buckhannon area.
Live music concerts are presented for the enjoyment, enhancement and promotion of the arts for the citizens of this region of West Virginia.
The Buckhannon Choral Society is operated under the auspices of a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of group members and interested community members.
The Buckhannon Choral Society receives annual financial support from the Upshur Arts Alliance and an Annual Fund initiative for individuals and businesses to provide support.
