Mr. Rickey Dean Rinehart Sr., 57, a resident of the Trinity community near Belington, departed this life Sunday morning, Dec. 2, 2012, at his residence. He had been in declining health but death was unexpected.
He was born Sept. 10, 1955, at Philippi, a son of Loren J. and Melba L. (McCoy) Rinehart, who survive.
On June 19, 1976, at Kasson, he was united in marriage to the former Roberta Elaine "Bobbie" Kines, who survives at their home.
She is survived by one son, Rickey D. Rinehart Jr. and companion, Kimberly Fridley, of Belington; one daughter, Nichole E. "Nikki" Wolfe and husband, Derek, of Philippi; and one brother, Shawn L. Rinehart and wife, Barbara, of Plum Run Road, Mannington. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Makylie A. Rinehart, Kale J. Wolfe and Keagan M. Wolfe; one niece, Shawna Moore and husband, Steve; and two nephews, Chad A. Valentine and Robby Wilfong. Additional survivors include his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lucille and Robert "Mutt" Kines; and sister-in-law, Joyce Simmons and husband, Bob, all of Kasson.
Mr. Rinehart graduated from Philip Barbour High School with the class of 1973. He was formerly employed as the director of the Barbour County Emergency Squad, was formerly manager of the State ABC Store in Belington and Elkins. Before becoming disabled, he was lastly employed as a teacher's aid for the Randolph County school system. He was a Methodist by faith and had attended Trinity United Methodist Church near Belington before its closing.
Friends will be received at Talbott Funeral Home in Belington from 5 to 9 p.m. today and again Thursday, Dec. 6, from 8 until 11 a.m., the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with Pastor James "Oz" Gray officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Cemetery near Belington.
