One woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred around 8 a.m. Wednesday morning in Barbour County.
The accident took place on Corridor H near Talbott Hill above the Mikey Hart Bridge, James Harris of the Junior Fire Department, said.
"She was rolled over on top and trapped when we got on scene with what appeared to be critical injuries," Harris said.
Harris did not release the name of the woman involved in the accident, but said the vehicle she drove did not carry any passengers.
The injured woman was transported to Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins for treatment. Harris said HealthNet was unable to transport her because of weather conditions.
The Junior Fire Department along with the West Virginia State Police, Belington Fire Department and two units from the Belington Emergency Medical Squad responded to the scene of the accident. Sgt. J.A. Simmons from the Elkins Detachment of the West Virginia State Police also traveled to the scene, according to officials.
