Robert Russell McDonald, 53, a former resident of Huttonsville, and for the past 10 years a resident of Vero Beach, Fla., passed from this life Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, in Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach, F'a.
Robert was born Friday, May 13, 1960, in Maryland, a son of the late Lester McDonald and Catherine "Kate" McDonald.
Also surviving Robert are two sons, Robert Stanley McDonald of Huttonsville and Chad Douglas McDonald of Florida; one grandson, Donovan Tyrell McDonald; one sister, Linda Herron and husband, Willard, of Huttonsville; five brothers, Larry McDonald and wife, Janis, of Dundalk, Md., Leonard McDonald and wife, Terry, of Moorefield, Albert McDonald of Huttonsville, Jerry Taylor and wife, Melissa, of Mill Creek and Mack Taylor of Huttonsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by one sister, Nellie Taylor; and five brothers, Charlie McDonald, Don McDonald, Gordon McDonald, Frank McDonald and Bob Taylor.
Robert attended the schools of Tygart Valley. He had worked many various jobs locally and was working in maintenance at a mobile home park in Florida.
Robert's body was cremated. A visitation will be conducted at the Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services Monday, Dec. 17, from 2 until 5 p.m., at which time a memorial service will be conducted.
