HomePlus is proud to announce that Diana McCauley, RN, OCN, has earned her oncology nursing re-certification.
She successfully met all eligibility and renewal requirements prescribed by the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) Board. She is certified in adult oncology nursing and is granted permission to continue to use the designation oncology certified nurse and the OCN credential.
McCauley is a Randolph County native and has worked for HomePlus for more than 20 years. She has been certified by the ONCC since 1996.
"The oncology nursing specialty is important to me because it's important to my patients," McCauley said. "I can offer them the most up-to-date knowledge and cancer care skills. Being a certified oncology nurse better equips me to recognize problems and help my patients cope with the challenges of cancer."
Amy Wyatt, director of HomePlus, said McCauley's designation validates her knowledge in this area of specialty care and is a real benefit to local cancer patients and their families.
McCauley met specific eligibility criteria for nursing experience and specialty practice, and successfully passed a rigorous examination.
