Mark Doak, chief executive officer of Davis Memorial Hospital and chamber board member, dedicates the conference room at the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce office Wednesday morning in Elkins in honor of the late Mike Hudnall, as Hudnall's wife, Brenda, looks on. Hudnall, who passed away in August, retired as president and CEO of Freedom Bank. Previously held positions include former president and CEO of Capital State Bank and former president and CEO of One Valley Bank, Marion County. He was active in many organizations throughout West Virginia, including being a member of the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Davis Health Systems' Board, Region VII Planning and Development Council, West Virginia Division of Banking Board, North Central West Virginia OIC, the Special Olympics, Prodigy Foundation, Interstate 79 Strategic Planning Committee, Leadership West Virginia, WVBT Board and the United Methodist Council of Churches.
The plaque honoring Hudnall and his service to the ERCCC hangs in the chamber's conference room. The plaque was created and donated by the West Virginia Wood Tech Center. The donation was arranged through the efforts of Robbie Morris, executive director of the Randolph County Development Authority and chamber board member. Morris also served as former executive director of the chamber.
