Joann McCue, 81, of Buckhannon, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at her home. She was born Nov. 15, 1931, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Okie Dale and Eva Mae Weaver Goldsmith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Alfred D. "Monk" Phillips; second husband, Ellis H. McCue; one daughter, Patricia Phillips Queen; and one brother, Jack Goldsmith.
She is survived by one daughter, Debra Shreve and husband, Kevin, of Elkins; three sons, Steven Phillips and wife, Kay, and Benny Phillips and wife, Robin, all of Buckhannon, and Kerry Phillips and wife, Tammy, of Cambridge Springs, Pa.; two grandsons, Dustin Phillips and Joseph Queen and wife, Lorna, all of Buckhannon; seven granddaughters, Lyndsey Phillips, Crissi Marple and husband, Brock, Heather Liggett and husband, Mitch, and Angie Gould, all of Buckhannon, Kayla Phillips and Shelly Barley, both of Cambridge Springs, and Toni Shreve of Elkins; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. McCue was a personal caregiver and a Christian by faith.
Friends will be received today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, from the funeral home with the Rev. David Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Peterson Cemetery in Weston.
