Seton Hill bests D&E, A-B falls

GREENSBURG, Pa. - Katie Gattuso had 14 points and pulled down six rebounds to lead Seton Hill past Davis & Elkins 59-53 Thursday in West Virginia Conference action.

Paige Alviani and Mallory Sanner added 12 points each for the Lady Griffins (12-9, 9-8 WVIAC), who led 24-19 at halftime.

Sanner also had eight steals, while Alviani chipped in with five assists.

Page Turner finished with 14 points and dished out six assists for the Lady Senators (10-9, 9-6).

Amy Turner followed with nine points and five rebounds, while Sharmaine Baker netted seven points.

The Lady Senators will host Shepherd at 5:30 Monday for a WVC contest.

Pitt-Johnstown 77, Alderson-Broaddus 39

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - Jasmine Harper tossed in 15 points and pulled down four rebounds to lead Pitt-Johnstown (Pa.) over Alderson-Broaddus 77-39 Thursday in West Virginia Conference action.

Nicole Carman chipped in with 11 points, while Kaitlynn Fratz and Kelsey Sleighter contributed nine points each for the Lady Mountain Cats (12-7, 10-6 WVIAC), who led 34-5 at halftime.

Sydney Shaffer had nine points and grabbed three rebounds, while Nautica Davis finished with six points for the Lady Battlers (4-13, 3-10).

A-B will entertain Shepherd at 5:15 Saturday for a league contest.

Men's games

Seton Hill 77, Davis &?Elkins 70

GREENSBURG, Pa.- Malachi Leonard had 14 points and pulled down seven rebounds to lead Seton Hill past Davis & Elkins 77-70 Thursday in West Virginia Conference action.

Oliver McGlade added 13 points, while Lenjo Kilo and David Windsor chipped in 12 points each, and Ma Kenyi bucketed 11 markers and grabbed four rebounds for the Griffins (11-8, 8-7 WVIAC), who led 37-32 at halftime.

D'Quan Lynch finished with 17 points, six assists and six rebounds to lead the Senators (6-13, 5-10). Devin Miller and Josh Wamsley added 13 points each, while Wamsley also had seven rebounds and Igor Premasunac 10 points.

D&E will host Shepherd at 7:30 p.m. Monday for a WVIAC tilt.

A-B 68, Pitt-Johnstown 60

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - Roy Brown finished with 18 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead Alderson-Broaddus past Pitt-Johnstown 68-60 Thursday in West Virginia Conference action.

Casey Ainslie and Ali Bilal had 12 points each for the Battlers, (11-5, 9-3 WVIAC). Ainslie also had seven rebounds.

Nick Novak had 26 points for the Mountain Cats (12-7, 8-7), who led 31-26 at halftime.

A-B will host Shepherd at 7:30 p.m. Saturday for a WVIAC matchup.
