A mobile home burned to the ground early Friday morning in Valley Head.
Randolph County Sheriff Mark Brady said Friday that a structure fire broke out in a trailer located on Route 15 in Valley Head at about 1 a.m. Friday. Brady said the single occupant inside woke up in time to escape harm.
"The woman woke up because she heard fire crackling and ran to a neighbor's house to call 911," Brady said. "Luckily, no one was injured."
Brady said the structure, which was fully engulfed, wound up being a total loss.
