Tickets are on sale now for the annual Rifle Rally sponsored by Rich Mountain Battlefield Foundation and the Tygart Valley Lions Club. The event, set for March 2, will take place at the new Randolph County Armory, on U.S. 33 west of Elkins.
"We have an exciting lineup of prizes this year," said Richard Wolfe of the Rich Mountain Battlefield Foundation. "And, the new armory is very nice. Just remember to carpool, as parking is limited."
Included with each Rifle Rally ticket is the chance to win one of 30 guns and prizes that will be drawn at regular intervals through the day. Ticket holders do not have to be present to win, but attendees will have the opportunity to purchase tickets on additional guns, raffles and drawings. An all-you-can-eat meal of fresh-grilled pork loin and roast beef will be available, along with beverages. Doors will open at 11 a.m., and the drawings will begin at noon.
"This event is our biggest fundraiser of the year," Wolfe said. "All proceeds go to support improvements for Rich Mountain Battlefield, and to the charitable activities of the Lions Club."
Tickets for the Rifle Rally are on sale now, on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are available through Rich Mountain Battlefield Foundation at the Beverly Heritage Center, located on the corner of U.S. 219 and Files Creek Road in Beverly, or by calling 304-637-7424.
A complete list of the ticket prizes, additional information about Rifle Rally and directions to the new armory can be found at the Rich Mountain website at www.richmountain.org.
