TENNERTON - Buckhannon-Upshur's girls put up a stellar defensive effort Wednesday night against top-ranked Bridgeport before falling 38-24 Wednesday night in Big 10 Conference action.
The Lady Bucs led 14-12 at intermission before the Lady Indians pulled away in the second half.
"We fought hard throughout the game," B-U coach Tristen Gray said. "We did a good job checking (Miki) Glenn in the first half, but in the second half she was able to get to the line and converted her shots.
