PHILIPPI - Third-seed Alderson-Broaddus built a 26-point halftime lead and never looked back taking an 84-54 win over No. 12 Bluefield State Tuesday night in opening round action of the West Virginia Conference tournament.
Kurklin Bohanon led a balanced scoring attack for the Battlers (19-8) with 14 points and six rebounds. Adam Kline also hit for 14 markers and grabbed a team-best seven rebounds.
Roy Cooper guided the Big Blues with a game-high 15 points.

Wheeling Jesuit 77, D&E 69
WHEELING - Fourth-seed Wheeling Jesuit used a 13-2 run over the final 1:53 of regulation to secure a come-from-behind win over Davis & Elkins in first-round West Virginia Conference action.
Eric Siefert poured in a team-high 17 points to pace the Cardinals to the win He connected on 7-of-11 shots from the floor. Joe Prati netted 16 points while Ben Siefert had 11 points, eight assists and five rebounds for Wheeling Jesuit.
D'Quan Lynch had 20 points, seven assists and four rebounds in the loss for the Senators, who end the season 8-19. Devin Miller scored 18 points and had four steals. Shane Brown and Igor Premasunac scored 12 points apiece.
Seton Hill 66, Wesleyan 63
GREENSBURG, Pa. - West Virginia Wesleyan's season ended Tuesday night as the Bobcats fell to Seton Hill, 66-63, in West Virginia Conference
Coach Pat Beilien's squad made a last-minute charge, but came up short.
Wesleyan trailed 32-27 at the half, and fell behind further after a brief Griffin surge midway through the second half. Seton Hill built the lead to 12 on two occasions at 59-47 and 61-49.
Down 64-54 with less than 2 minutes remaining, Wesleyan produced a strong comeback in the waning moments.
David Windsor led Seton Hill with 15 points and eight rebounds, with Nate Perry adding 15. The Griffins were beaten on the boards, as Wesleyan held a 41-31 advantage in team rebounding. Seton Hill advances to the quarterfinals with a 16-11 record.
Ray Warren led Wesleyan with 24 points, with Kelsey Williams closing his career with 23 points and game-high 12 rebounds.
Wesleyan ends the campaign 12-15.
