Community organizations, civic groups, scout troops, families, couples, professional cooks and individuals have a unique opportunity to showcase a favorite recipe during the Community Crock Pot Cook Off on Sunday.
The event, a fundraiser for Catholic Charities West Virginia, offers cooks the chance to win prizes. Past entries include chilis, soups, stews, barbecue, jambalaya and desserts.
"This is a great event that is fun for those cooking, and especially for those eating," said Cindy Hammer, regional director for Catholic Charities. "We hope many folks will come out and join in the fun."
