A deeply rooted business in Buckhannon will be shutting its doors Friday after more than 50 years serving the community.
Marty Kelley, who owns car dealerships in both Buckhannon and Elkins, confirmed Monday that both locations will be closing at the end of the week. She declined to offer reasons for going out of business.
She said 26 employees will be affected by the closing.
Kelley said customers needing assistance could go to www.gm.com and call the appropriate toll-free number for the make and model of vehicle.
The Buckhannon dealership lost its Chevrolet franchise in 2010 as part of General Motors' restructuring its operations following a 2009 bankruptcy filing.
