The Amber Alert issued by the West Virginia State Police Tuesday has been canceled. According to Sgt. G.E. Dornburg, the alert was lifted around 9:45 this morning.
"The suspect vehicle was seen traveling on 79 South by one of the troopers and they brought other back-up units in and recovered the victim and the perpetrators," Dornburg said. "Everybody's fine."
He said the perpetrator was the grandfather of the victims, Shaina Nicole Tenney and Grace Hope Tenney. The suspect was apprehended in a tan 2003 Ford Taurus around mile marker 104.
