Buckhannon-Upshur High School is pleased to announce that two B-UHS Pro-Start teams recently competed in the annual WV Hospitality Cup Competition, which was hosted this year at the Waterfront Hotel in Morgantown on March 6-7.
The culinary team was comprised of Monea Edwards, Laura Fidler, Steven Lawler and Faith Schafsnitz.
The management team consisted of Sara Morrison, Marlene Ridgway and Clefta Tenney, and it was awarded third place in the state. Although unable to attend the competition, Erica Betler also was a member of the winning management team and contributed significantly to its success.

Under the supervision of Pro-Start instructor Carol Meese and their mentor, Michael Alborano, of The Market Bistro, all of these students spent countless hours during class as well as after school working on their preparations for this event.
B-UHS leaders said they wanted to thank all of these individuals for their hard work in preparation for this event and congratulate them for representing Buckhannon-Upshur High School and Upshur County in such a distinguished fashion.
