Daniel Joseph Poore, 33, went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ Friday, March 15, 2013.
He was born March 28, 1979, at Clarksburg, a son of John Arthur and Dorothy Flo Phares Poore, who survive in Elkins.
Also surviving are three brothers, Luke J. Poore and wife, Jennelle, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Samuel J. Zabajai and wife, Michelle, of Ocoee, Fla., and Richard J. Poore and wife, Kristina, of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Karen J. Seel and husband, Charles, of Elkins and Laurinda J. Cross of Elkins. Uncle Daniel will also be greatly missed by his 17 nieces and nephews, Joshua, Charlie, Thorton, Ethan, Emily, Jessica, Thad, Zachary, Kate, Tina, Marcus, Johnathan, Kaylee, Caleb, Malayia, David and Hannah.
Daniel graduated from Elkins High School with the class of 1997 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Fairmont State University in 2002. He was employed in the criminal justice field, was a member of Alliance Community Fellowship in Gilman and could be found at any soccer event in the community.
Friends may call from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at Alliance Community Fellowship at Gilman. A funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday at Alliance Community Fellowship with Pastor Mark Epperson and Pastor Jim Cooley officiating. Interment will follow in Gilman Cemetery.
