Two people were seriously injured in a head-on collision that occurred Wednesday morning near Harman.
A Ford Fusion headed westbound and a Subaru Legacy traveling eastbound on Route 33 crashed into each other at about 10 a.m., according to information provided by Cpl. G.S. DeWeese with the Elkins detachment of the West Virginia State Police.
The wreck took place on the back side of Rich Mountain, DeWeese said.
Both drivers were life-flighted to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
As of presstime, state police would not release the names of the drivers because they hadn't been able to contact their family members.
When asked what factors may have contributed to the wreck, DeWeese said the investigation is ongoing.
In addition to WVSP and Randolph County EMS, Harman Volunteer Department and Elkins Fire Department responded to the accident.
