Tygarts Valley High School students in the youth-led tobacco prevention club, Raze, collected cigarette butts Wednesday as part of a statewide initiative, Big Butts Pick-up Day. Students put the butts in a container on a table in the hall and talked to other students about the dangers of tobacco use. They also constructed a memorial wall on which students could write the names of family or friends affected by death or illness from tobacco use. Pictured, from left, are TVHS students Dustin Atkinson, Tori Elbon and Erin Murphy.
