Mary Evangeline Zickefoose, 86, of Covington Ky., formerly of Lost Creek, died Wednesday, March 27, 2013, in St. Elizabeth Hospice Care, Edgewood, Ky.
She was born Sept.18, 1926, at Tallmansville, a daughter of the late Squire E. and Gertie Kelly Miller.
On March 22, 1944, she married Corbin V. Zickefoose, who preceded her in death in 2010.
Surviving are two sisters, Mildred (Billie) Zickefoose of Vermillion Ohio, and Maudeline Barnett of Zephyrhills, Fla.; one daughter, Sharon Lilly and husband, Steve, of Hartselle, Ala.; one son, Larry Zickefoose and wife, Deborah, of Covington, Ky.; and seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Sharon and Larry will deeply miss the apple pies and rum cakes.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Marstiller; and three brothers, Hartzel, Leonard and Lawrence Miller.
Mrs. Zickefoose attended Quiet Dell United Methodist Church and was a member of the Methodist Women and the Garden Club.
Friends will be received at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Sunday, March 31, from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. George Bramble officiating. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. in the West Virginia National Cemetery at Pruntytown.
