Joshua D. Stump has been appointed student accounts coordinator at Davis & Elkins College, responsible for assisting students and their parents or guardians with student financial accounts.
Among Stump's duties are providing statements of account, coordinating with the Office of Financial Planning to provide financial guidance, monitoring student accounts receivable, and helping facilitate the daily flow of business within the college's Business Office.
"I'm very excited and pleased to have been offered this appointment," Stump says. "College finances can be difficult, and it's my goal to ensure I bring a level of consistency and clarity to the process."
Prior to accepting his current position, Stump worked as the student employment coordinator at D&E.
"Josh brings a wealth of enthusiasm to his new role in Student Accounts and we are confident this will be a great benefit to both students and their families," says D&E Chief Financial Officer Greta J. Troastle. "We are very pleased he has joined the Business Office team."
Stump graduated from Marshall University in 2006 with a degree in history and earned a Master of Arts degree in teaching from the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas, in 2010. He worked as a teacher and counselor at a private school in Virginia for three years before coming to D&E. He resides in Buckhannon with his wife and two children.
