Dora M. Stanley, 85, a resident of Norton, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013, in Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center.
She was born April 13, 1927, at Norton, a daughter of the late Domenick and Mary Baisi Bertelli.
She is the beloved wife of 64 years of Charles Edward Stanley, who survives at Norton; the beloved mother of Charles E. Stanley Jr. of Grayslake, Ill.; beloved sister of Frank Bertelli (Lilllian) and David Bertelli (Dottie) of Norton and Joe Bertelli (Mary Jane) of Elkins; three sisters, Connie Martello of Fairmont, Becky Manolidis (Joe) of Elkins and Gloria Bertelli of Norton; beloved grandmother of Sarah and Sean (Megan) Stanley; and beloved mother-in-law of Rachel Stanley.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dena and Nicky Bertelli; and three brothers, Tony, Fredo and Robert Bertelli.
Mrs. Stanley attended the schools of Randolph County and was employed as a clerk at the G.C. Murphy store in Elkins prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church at Coalton.
Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A wake service will be recited at 7 p.m. today by the Very Rev. Donald X. Higgs, VF. On Thursday, April 4, Mrs. Stanley will be moved to St. Patrick Catholic Church at Coalton where the liturgy of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. The Very Rev. Donald X. Higgs, VF will be the celebrant, and interment will follow in Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman.
