The Randolph/Tucker Children's Advocacy Center will host its second annual Champion for Children Event at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the St. Brendan's Catholic Church in Elkins.
This year's fundraising dinner will celebrate the remarkable achievements of professionals, volunteers, individuals and organizations in our communities who have supported the development of the CAC since 2003, when the first work began to develop a child-friendly facility where abused children could come to talk about the unimaginable.
This year's event will consist of a delicious spaghetti and meatball dinner provided by the men and women of St. Patrick's Church, an award ceremony to recognize a Champion for Children Professional, a Champion for Children Samaritan and Champion for Children Community Partners.
